Why do teams matter to you?
As the environments we work in become increasingly complex and uncertain, we cannot do everything ourselves. Being part of a great team has meant that I have delivered better quality and more effective results than I would have on my own. I’ve personally also found it much more fun. I know, however, that it is not always like this, and so helping people to get the most from being part of a team is important to me.
From your experience what makes a team great?
Having a common purpose that people believe in helps them pull together to get great results. People often pull together wen there is a crisis or a problem, but it is as important when things are going well.

Most enjoyable career moments (in no particular order)
I really enjoyed the camaraderie with both colleagues and delegates when delivering an international leadership development programme for the Top 200 procurement managers in a global pharma company. I loved helping people achieve their potential, and for me the most satisfying part is seeing delegates become passionate and enthusiastic about leading and developing their people, and taking away tangible tools to improve their capability in doing so.
